Mark Bodenstab has been our Pastor since September of 2006.  He’s been in full-time ministry since 1979 also ministering as an Associate Pastor in areas such as Youth, Music, Outreach, and Discipleship in Medford, Corvallis and Newport Churches. Mark received a Bachelor's degree from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho where he also met his wife, Doris. Mark has also completed additional course work in Biblical Studies, Theology and Church history leading to his Ordination in 1989. He has served on the Board of Trustees for Northwest Nazarene University since 1999. Being born and raised in Medford, Oregon, Mark is an Oregonian through and through. He enjoys most all outdoor activities including fishing, camping, golfing and hiking. Mark and Doris were married in 1980 and have four children in their 20’s.  

Olivia grew up in a small town outside Eugene Oregon. She felt a leading towards ministry when she was 8 years old and pursued it. After graduating from Northwest Nazarene University in 2008, she joined Extreme Nazarene Ministries and served as a missionary in Peru.

Upon returning to the States in July 2010, she was asked to be the Children’s Pastor at Crow-Applegate Church of the Nazarene. After ministering there for one year, she was invited to be a part of the team at Church on the Rise.

Olivia is passionate about serving the Lord through loving on His children of all ages. She loves to play and thrives on adventure; as long as there’s a spider killer in the group.

Zach Carpenter
Youth/Music Pastor

Zach Carpenter grew up in Olympia, Washington. Early in high school, Zach felt God's call upon his life for pastoral ministry in the church. After graduation, Zach attended Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) in Nampa, Idaho, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministries. While there he met his wife, Laura.

After graduating from NNU, Zach and Laura got married. A month after their wedding, they moved to Taipei, Taiwan. While in Taiwan, they taught English and worked with Faith Church of the Nazarene. After a year abroad, Zach and Laura decided to move to Kansas City, Kansas where Zach began course work at Nazarene Theological Seminary (NTS).

At the beginning of 2010, Zach and Laura were invited to join the staff at Church on the Rise. After much prayer, they truly saw God's desire for them to join in His work within Roseburg. They moved to Roseburg in May of 2010. They are excited for what God is doing in their lives and lives of the people around them.

Zach is continuing is education online through NNU for a masters in spiritual formation

Stephanie Poellot has been part of our church family since December 2006 and on staff since April of 2008 as Director of Discipleship Ministries (growth groups & Sunday school) and Church Secretary.  She loves the Lord and wants to share His love.  She serves as a growth group leader and is one of our children church teachers. She married her wonderful husband, Rob, in February 1997 and they have a beautiful daughter, Emily Grace, who was born in May 2007.  Stephanie loves her God, her family and her job!
