Classes for All Children

0-24 months - Led by paid staff and volunteers during Sunday school & church hour.
2&3 year olds - Led by paid and volunteer staff during Sunday school and church service.
4, 5 & Kindergarten - Led by  volunteer staff during Sunday school & church service.
1st & 2nd Grade - Led by volunteer staff during Sunday school.
3rd & 4th Grade - Led by volunteer staff during Sunday school.
5th & 6th Grade - Led by volunteer staff during Sunday school.

 

Our Nursery - Ages Birth to 2 Years Old (Room 105)
This is a fun place...a safe place...a clean place...but more importantly, it is a place where every child is loved, cared for and taught about Jesus. Our goal is to make every child feel loved and every family feel welcomed so that you can confidently call Church on the Rise your church home. We see the nursery as a true ministry to families of infants and toddlers and we take it very seriously! Every time our doors are open we have a very specific routine that ensures the children a well-rounded learning experience. Our routine includes: bible lesson time (bible "story" for babies), bible song time, free play, snack time and sometimes even a nap! All lessons, songs, etc. are age appropriate.

 

2 & 3 Year Old Class  (Room 107)
All 2 & 3 year olds will enjoy a class specifically designed for them during Sunday school and worship service on Sundays in room 107. If you are arriving at that time for worship, please go directly to room 107 to check in your child. You will be given a number card at that time.

 

Hours
The nursery is open 15 minutes before and after all regularly scheduled weekend services (including Sunday school) and Wednesday night activities. Additionally, it may be open for certain all-church special events.

 

 Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures
A teacher will greet you at the desk to receive your child and diaper bag and will assign you a number.

• You will sign in your child, place your child's nametag on his/her back and write down your assigned number
• Please indicate if your child has any special needs (including potty training) or allergies at each check-in time.
• If you are needed during the worship hour, your number will flash on the display at the front left of the sanctuary.

Your child will be released to the adult who checked in the child unless special instructions are given at check-in. No siblings checking in or out please. Don't forget your belongings when picking up.

What to Bring

1. Diaper bag with essentials including 2 or 3 disposable diapers, ointment and wipes.
2. Comfort items such as a pacifier , blankets, etc.
3. Change of clothes.
4. Bottle or sippee cup with formula, juice, milk, water, etc.

Please label all your child's belongings!

Our Staff

The gals (and dads) in the nursery are the most special people on the face of the earth! They have been obedient to God's calling in their lives to do the most important and rewarding work - to teach those most special to Jesus: the little children. They specialize in separation anxiety, children's bible curriculum, bible songs, and yes, even changing diapers! We all have children ranging from 0 to 30 and we know how important it is to be a consistent familiar face, so the nursery children aren't anxious when mom and dad leave them with us. In addition, our Children's Ministry staff are required to complete an application/screening process including a criminal background check.
